Outpost HQ
Our public space and resource room -- Outpost HQ -- is open Wednesday - Saturday, 12-4 pm and provides meeting space, wireless access, a library of arts periodicals and books, and a changing assortment of T-shirts, drawings, prints and other works for sale by supporting artists.



Four recurring programs happen at the storefront:

T-shirt Revival Night
Second Saturdays monthly, 7 to 10pm
As part of the NELAart Second Saturday Gallery Night, Outpost features a new artist each month to create unique designs for the event. For a minimal charge, the artist "revive" an old T-shirt, canvas bag or other clothing by silk-screening the new designs right onto it.

Saturday Visits
Third Saturdays monthly, 2pm
Saturday Visits are informal lectures by local and visiting artists, offering an intimate glimpse into their creative process through a focus on works-in-progress.

Window Residency
Rotating every six months, this project uses Outpost´s storefront window as a venue for artistic interventions. It provides a visual bridge into Outpost, peaking curiosity and inviting people in.

Mining the Archive
Artists, curators and art historians explore Outpost's collection of art periodicals, some of which date to the early 1960s, each responding to the texts and images they find by spotlighting and annotating 10 articles, advertisements and reviews from the collection. In turn, the Outpost community will create a fluid dialogue by commenting in turn on the project's marginalia.
