Oswald Achenbach (1827 - 1905) was a great German artist. Oswald was born the 5th of ten kids in Dusseldorf on Feb . 2, 1827. When he was 8 years old, he went to the primary course of the Dusseldorf Art Academy. His famed brother educated Oswald. It is possible that Oswald Achenbach didn't like the academic training, so he left the Dusseldorf Academy in 1841. As an alternative he became a member of two Dusseldorf organizations.
