Alessandro Allori, the full name is Alessandro di Cristofano di Lorenzo del Bronzino Allori was a great Italian portrait artist in late 16th century Florence.

Alessandro's father was a sword maker and he was raised by Agnolo Bronzino, a friend of his family who was also mannerist artist. Young Alessandro Allori studied art under Agnolo.  Somewhat, Allori may be the last of the line of prominent Florentine artist. He was also influenced by Michelangelo's paintings.

All over Allori's lifetime, he had quite a few collaborators as well as pupils, such as Giovanni Bizzelli, Cesare Dandini, Aurelio Lomi, Giovanni Battista. His son Cristofano Allori is also a portrait painter of late Florentine Mannerist school. Nowadays, Alessandro Allori's paintings are seen in museums around the world.
