Colin Campbell Cooper, Jr. was an American Impressionist painter who specialized in architectural paintings. He painted the skyscrapers of Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York City. Many of his paintings are now part of the Cooper Museum in Philadelphia. The Colin C. Cooper Jr. Collection includes more than 400 works of art. The exhibit features the artist's best work and is a must-see for any art collector. 

His early work is predominantly realistic. He also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and the Academie Julian in Paris. Upon his return to the US, Cooper taught watercolours at Drexel University. During this time, he was a member of the Titanic rescue operation. In 1899, he painted View of Steamship Carpathia Passing Along the Edge of an Ice Flow, which has a great deal of popularity.
